Workshop

The first project workshop took place in Oxford on the 18th September 2017
The 2nd workshop is planned to take place in Vienna on 12th April during the EGU General Assembly and will focus on generating research paper outputs.

Structured Presentations

An update on both modelling and palaeodata available for analysis will be presented.  Spatial and temporal 'holes' in the data will be identified. First findings of model-data comparisons will be presented. New relevant research and/or approaches by project members will be presented.

Discussion

Topics for discussion include i) developing the database outputs of dryland palaeolake data usable by Quaternary Scientists and climate modellers; ii) sharing of best practice for developing saltpan data; iii) dealing with multiple sensors and chronological uncertainties; iv) Development of paper structure

Outputs

Time will also be allocated to analysis and writing.
Please let us know if you plan to attend, and whether that would be remotely or in person. If you would like to submit a presentation  please also email us a title and a couple of sentences with the main gist of your talk.

We hope this will very much be an open group that will grow over time so please feel free to forward this to anyone you think might like to be involved or who might like to talk.

There are limited funds available for early career participants or those from developing countries to attend in person.  If you fall into this category  (see definition at the bottom of the page here) and are interested in applying, please contact us.
